- footballers have to choose between football and glee club and thematically it would have made a whole lot of sense for them to choose glee club but finn choose football was guilt-tripped by will into choosing glee but then the pressure was taken off anyway so that plotline was pointless
- rachel and puck were going out and then they weren't
- quinn is really upset because she has to be as unpopular as the rest of glee club and shes spoiled
- the sexual tension between emma and will could be cut with a knife but will is already in an unhappy marriage and emma is already unhappily engaged to someone else
- will was teaching emma how to dance for her wedding and i lost count of the amount of times they almost snogged/ended up on top of each other

- april rhodes is back but i don't really know why because she had no reason to be back really

s1e17 summary:
- sue is humiliated but everyone forgets about that when she makes a homoerotic music video with olivia newton john (the showrunners apparently didn't notice that them singing physical to each other makes it look pretty gay)
- the glee club want bad reputations
- emma confronts will but then she forgives him so it's all quite pointless and emma gets net zero character development, while will gets a redemption anyway? all this does is make emma seem pathetic and will seem unlikeable so i'm not sure what they were trying to achieve here considering that they're one of the endgame ships of the show
- rachel is trying to look like a whore by making a music video with three different guys, and they all just hate her now ?
- all of these were main plots, i genuinely cannot discern which one is supposed to be the a-plot, this is a badly-done show

s1e18 summary:
- kurt tries to be straight but fails miserably but his dad loves him anyway so it's all good
- half the glee club never sing but that's not resolved i guess
- puck's mohawk is gone which instantly deprives him of his popularity so he starts dating mercedes to gain that back ? but then mercedes leaves the cheerios so it backfires on him tbh

- there were like 48 different plotlines going on at once i'll try and break it down
- kurt and this guy who runs the showchoir at nyada (the new york performance school he and rachel go to) are going to go on a date. the guy has the most awful and clearly fake british accent.
- rachel has invited her boyfriend, who she's known for like five months, to move in. they have decided that they're madly in love. they've known each other for f i v e m o n t h s
- meanwhile back at high school, tina has organised a sadie hawkins dance.
- tina calls blaine the "love of her life" because he goes to the sadie hawkins with her as a friend and she almost kisses him.
- blaine likes sam since they've been working together to prove that the warblers threw sectionals and were on performance enhancers.
- marley and jake are going to the dance together. kitty tries to get jake to go with her because she wants to fuck him. puck confronts kitty because jake confided in him as they are brothers. kitty and puck then end up sleeping together. kitty is underage and puck isn't but this is barely addressed.

- rachel and brody (?) broke up boo hoo (its because brody is a prostitute also hes ugly but thats never brought up but i think somebody had to say it)
- theres this whole subplot where kurt has a fake arm that he puts around him to make himself feel less lonely and then he gets some for rachel and santana too which like ????? okay
- i actually don't know if that counts as a SUBplot because it's how the episode starts off so it could be argued that it's actually the a-plot rather than the runner, which is objectively hilarious

- willliam mckinley high school has no power and apparently no daylight, either. ? this has implications. maybe they are in a void. this is contradicted by the fact that we have literally seen windows with daylight in previous episodes. my conclusion is that their entire universe is some computer-generated nightmare, which would explain why there is no light whatsoever when the power goes out and also why they think they're talented
- ryder and kitty have both been molested before and everyone thinks that makes them both lucky?? and of course does barely anything to stop this
- fuckin acapella plot is reused
- ryder still likes this katie girl whos been catfishing him. hes still trying to find out who she is. i'm pretty sure it's been hinted that it's unique but also they've pretty much dispelled that now so like?? i'm not sure why they dropped those hints in the first place when they haven't followed through at all. very confusing

- mercedes had a record deal but then she didn't but she sold the CDs of it anyway. which is highly illegal so shes definitely getting sued
- rachel got a second callback for funny girl's broadway revival. and this is glee and it's her entire character arc so shes either going to get that part and never get any more character development or she's going to not get it and get new dreams
- kurt's dad no longer has prostate cancer
- blaine is going to propose to kurt even though they're not together and kurt's dad told him not to anyway

- that means i don't really remember much of the start of the episode because there was like a three month gap between that and me finishing it today
- i think rachel and santana are still fighting because of santana being rachel's understudy for funny girl on broadway which is still a stupid fucking fight to begin with but anyway
- nationals but they were all thinking about finn (deceased) and then they came second place
- because they came second place sue sylvester had to shut down glee club because they couldn't justify the budget and then she went really out of character to comfort who is depressed now
- all the way over in nyc kurt found out that new directions had been shut down and just about had a heart attack telling rachel and santana
- i'm fairly sure this time it's real and glee club actualy does shut down because i remember when googling the photo i used for the image it said that went on to coach vocal adrenaline (?) so like yeah. fucking FINALLY

s5e12 summary:
- except for like maybe 2 threads that felt like a finale to the whole show so ive got no fucking clue where they're taking the bulk of the show next tbh
- glee club is closing and theyre all depressed but also bittersweet
- in light of this all of the original members are back (except finn. because he's dead)
- singing old songs that theyve done before
- diva-off again and they sung defying gravity AGAIN and kurt might have been involved but it was quite unclear honestly
- britanny still likes santana and im fairly sure santana still likes her
- quinn and puck are back together
- yeah mostly just tying off loose ends except for the few remaining open-ended bits (april and holly deciding to save glee, brittana, rachel vs santana final smackdown, kurt and blaine wedding)

- mercedes and sam are thinking about sex, because sam really wants it but mercedes is not sure because she is a virgin. she decides she wants to wait until marriage and sam eventually accepts this
- artie (character not cat) has fucking chlamydia because he's a massive manwhore

s5e17 summary:
- we see again. it isn't fun
- emma gives birth, allegedly, although we haven't actually seen her in forever which isn't a bad thing but it's kind of confusing

- rachel's opening night on bway. shockingly, she gets a good review, who would have guessed that one

s5e18 summary:
- rachel cancels a performance on her broadway show because she has an opportunity to be on TV but she blows the audition and her boss finds out that she wasn't actually ill so she's almost fired but in the end she gets a deal for a TV show to be made just for her and she gets to stay on the show
- blaine gets picked up by this really old woman whos famous and knows a load of famous people except she doesnt reckon kurt is as talented as blaine (based) so shes talking to blaine about doing a show and blaine tells kurt that he will be involved even though thats not true
- mercedes has a record deal and wants to do a duet with santana but the record company says no but then theres a contract so i guess they changed their minds ?

s5e19 summary: (some of this is "to the best of my memory" because i started it a while ago)
- the media finds out that rachel pretended to be ill to miss a performance and go to a TV audition so she's in a flap. santana decided to do some PR for her and gives her the cause of caring about dogs
- yeah this episode is basically just centred around rachel pretending to care about rights for dogs
- sam gets a dog but he has to give it away
- meanwhile kurt is friends with old people now and puts on a performance of peter pan with them

s5e20 summary:
- sam is ron avpsy?
- mercedes and sam broke up because sam kept getting horny and mercedes wanted him to be able to shag other people in good conscience

- blaine doesn't go to nyada anymore because he got depressed and his grades started to slip so he got kicked out
- is coaching vocal adrenaline. blaine is coaching the warblers. rachel is coaching the new directions. these three schools will all face off in sectionals
- sue sylvester completely axed all the arts programmes but then rachel went to the superintendent and donated money to get the glee club back so now sue has raged war on her

- dalton academy warblers has as new applicant who is a girl. institutional sexism is okay because they find change difficult and its tradition (?????????) so she joins the new directions instead
- rachel and kurt are running new directons and trying to recruit. they get 4 members: the new girl, a random guy who cant sing, and weird twins who are probably in an incestuous relationship

s6e3 summary:
- brittany and santana are engaged !!! we got some nice moments with them
- weird ideas of true love
- kurt is still in love with blaine and doesn't want to get over him. i think they're probably going to get back together.
- rachel and kurt coach the glee club at new directions now and they fight a bit about it and then they don't
- becky gets a boyfriend and everyone is weird about the fact that they might be having sex because becky has down's syndrome so she's infantilised a lot, but then her boyfriend has a meaningful conversation with the people being weird about it about how just because she has down's doesn't mean they get to treat her differently and she's just like them and why shouldn't she want to have sex. she's a person too. and this was aired in 2015 so that's actually really significant
- coach beast is transmasc !! hes getting top surgery and starting hormones so that means sam is going to take over coaching the american football team
- sue sylvester is as ever very accepting in her bitchy way and i love that for her
- you sort of got the feeling this episode that the show was trying to right its past wrongs almost? like the storylines with becky and beast

s6e4 summary:
- sue and were going to be friends but then left a plastic fork so now sue is unleashing the full force of her vitriolic hate for him which she has been storing up over these past 5 seasons. what an icon
- so from this we learn that she has a Hate Cupboard and behind that a Klaine Cupboard. basically she's a massive klaine shipper.
- now you'll remember that nowadays coaches vocal adrenaline, rachel and kurt coach new directions, and blaine coaches the warblers. this will become important
- also remember that kurt and blaine have broken up and blaine is now dating karofsky. also important
- so basically sue wants to destroy rachel AND which honestly valid i support that
- she arranges an invitational at mckinley, where rachel fucking BEGS to make va go easy on nd, to which he agrees
- then sue goes and hypnotises sam, her pawn in this operation. she can hypnotise. this is riverdale territory
- she makes him fall for rachel, but so that when he kisses her he wakes up and doesn't remember any of it
- for some reason sam falling for rachel also makes rachel fall for sam, which was sue's plot all along. it all happens and sam doesn't remember which obviously really upsets rachel
- then she hypnotises sam again to go and steal <:ilovetorap:1010935432487370844>'s bills from his letterbox, for which he will blame rachel
- this causes to become vengeful, and so vocal adrenaline DOESN'T go easy on new directions, crushing the spirit of the new directions AND the warblers.

s6e5 summary:
- oh joy i just loved watching episode 2 of the riverdale duology
- unfortunately it appears that some of it may extend into the riverdale season but we'll see
- basically sue is a deranged klaine stan which is kind of creepy in itself so she sets up a saw trap makes them kiss sloppy and now they're kind of in denial but its clear that the show are going to put them back together. sue knows this because she has a schedule of events that need to happen over the course of many many weeks to get them back together
- mostly just continuations of last episode
- idk the plot was kind of shitty. new directions won sectionals by finding songs that have an emotional significance to sue but that was kind of poorly executed because for two out of the three songs they played a montage while sue was watching it of i guess why the song would be emotionally triggering for her? but like it made no sense because it didn't actually explain anything and the songs seemed very very irrelevant to the events happening on the screen
- sue could technically be arrested for kidnapping rn btw but i don't think kurt and blaine will press charges because yeah i guess they just won't
- 2 new glee club members: "kitty from season four" and "gay eminem"

s6e6 summary:
- britanny tries to convince santana's homophobic abuela from season two to not be homophobic which almost works but then it doesn't so abuela gets owned
- brittany and santana are going to get married and they're planning the wedding and it's going to be heaven themed
- i have never actually been clear on how to spell britanny's name. is it two t's or two n's?
- i think kurt and blaine might be implied to be getting back together quite soon but honestly i wasn't paying enough attention to know
- something about rachel going back to new york? like she did an audition i think. i don't know

s6e7 summary:
- coach beast is back and out of all the names he could have chosen he went for sheldon??
- unique is back and she and beast have a nice moment that was very VERY progressive for the time and would even be very very progressive nowadays
- rachel is moving house and to be honest she is acting VERY privileged about it
- rachel has a party about said house move and kurt and blaine sing a duet and then blaine kisses kurt outside after bringing up their first gay ass duet but kurt is going out with a guy who is literally about 3 times his age and blaine is going out with karovsky but then karovsky breaks up with blaine but nicely hes very kind about it but it is because of that kiss and then blaine goes to tell kurt and have a happy life with him but he didn't know that kurt was taken. so like thats an issue
- left vocal adrenaline because they were transphobic towards beast for popularity

s6e8 summary:
- brittany and santana are getting married. sue is pointedly not invited
- brittany is really worried about bad luck because santana saw her in her wedding dress but then theres a really corny moment and its ok
- sue turns up anyway because she's an icon and santana doesn't banish her because sue managed to bring along homophobic abuela??
- meanwhile tina is planning on proposing to mike who she is not dating but did date in s2. again the whole true love thing!! it doesn't go well for her but they dance together and mike says she's sexy and then she makes a pact with artie (character not cat) to get married to him if they both aren't married by 30. which is super original and never has been said before btw
- kurt and blaine are tempted backstage by britanny santana and sue who basically convince them into getting married that day also.
- kurt/blaine and britanny/santana have a double gay wedding. happy pride month

s6e9 summary:
- not one but two illegal songs! please can someone just put me down at this point it would be kinder
- theres this kid and he has a bar mitzvah and glee have to perform there and then he joins glee even though hes way too young??
- gay eminem bullies the kid who was in the walls that one time but then theyre bros so its ok now they made up
- also gay eminem got a love interest which was only just established IN THIS EPISODE and then later in this episode he kisses him. which is insane because it took kurt and blaine TEN PAINFUL FUCKING EPISODES and SIX PAINFUL FUCKING HOURS whereas this guy took LESS THAN AN EPISODE and LESS THAN HALF AN HOUR im not bitter btw
- also gay eminem kissing this guy meant that the guy joined glee club as he said that was a good enough sales pitch to get him to join
- boy incest twin has a crush on warblers reject but girl incest twin doesn't like that because she has to be like a mother figure to him but she doesn't really so it all gets sorted out and he's probably going to go to breadstix with warblers reject
- the show is really odd at the moment because it's like you'll get an episode of legacy characters (like last episode; kurt, blaine, brittany, santana, etc) and then the next episode will be generation 3 characters (i know none of their names but the season 6 iteration of the new directions) and then generation 2 characters (marley?, puck's relative, ryder?, i literally don't remember the rest) are just completely fucking ignored so like thats that i guess

s6e10 summary:
- dalton academy burns down so the warblers are now also the new directions
- sue doesn't like this because ??? she just doesn't
- meanwhile in sue's life fox news are publishing an exposé on her because her hatred cupboard thing and weird klaine obsession behind it were found and she was fired from mckinley
- now sue coaches vocal adrenaline so she can beat
- also if new directions/warblers don't win then all the arts programmes will be cut from mckinley i guess???? i don't get this at all but its ok 👍

- sectionals. lots at stake because if new directions lose the glee club will be no more. this plot line has never EVER been used before (sarcasm)
- theyre against vocal adrenaline who is coached by sue
- sue terrorises new directions i guess
- new directions win sectionals. fucking yippe. they have a #emotional full circle montage with the trophies to try and make us cry

- basically it's just the pilot again but from different perspectives (kurt's and then tina's)
